2024 Kershaw County Christmas Parade

Description

The second Saturday of December each year at 10 a.m., more than 3,000 spectators turn out for the Kershaw County Christmas Parade which boasts fire trucks, floats, pageant winners, classic cars, dancing, music, Santa, and much, much more! This year’s theme is “Christmas in Candyland.” In the spirit of all things merry and sweet, decorate your car, float or self in some of your favorite holiday treats. Be creative! If you would like to enter a float, car, etc. into the parade, click HERE to review the parade rules and requirements. Then click the Register button, on the right of this page, to submit an entry. Note: a login is NOT required to submit the entry.

Time

Line up begins at 8 am and everyone should be in their line up spot no later than 9:30 am. The parade begins promptly at 10 am.

By registering you agree to follow the rules and regulations provided to you by the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce. This includes but is not limited to:

  • NO throwing of candy from vehicles; walkers must hand candy to spectators
  • NO live or life-sized Santa on your float or in your car; he is a featured guest of the parade and children tend to be confused by anything other than the "real Santa"
  • NO stopping to perform during the parade; all dance groups, bands, athletic groups, etc. should continue walking/moving forward during the parade; no one likes a large gap
  • NO one without a valid driver's license can drive a motorized vehicle in the parade (ex. tractors, lawn mowers, golf carts, etc.)
  • NO unauthorized equine entries; there are special requirements for these entries for cleanliness and safety purposes; please see the Equine Entries rules for details

If you violate these or any other rules and regulations, you will be asked to depart from the parade route before the end of the parade.
