County Grant Application FAQ
Since applications became available this past Friday, there have been a number of questions that have come up as people are completing the form. Below are some of the most common questions.
Will I receive an email to confirm that my application has been received?
When the application is submitted, the applicant will receive a message that says "Thank you for submitting your application. We will contact you via email regarding any additional information needed." Therefore, applicant's will only receive an email if additional information is needed.
What is Gross Revenue?
This is the amount of income or sales your business collected, prior to any deductions, for the time period specified. It does not consider or factor in expenses and it is not an indication of your business' ability to make a profit.
What is the difference between Date Business Established and Current Ownership Date?
Date Business Established is the date on which the business was first established, regardless of owner, while Current Ownership Date is the date on which you (the current owner) became the owner. These dates may be the same, if you have been the only owner of the business. However, they may be the different, if you bought the business from a family member or another person.
I submitted an application. When will I hear whether or not I received the grant?
The deadline for applications is Monday, May 4, 2020. Applications will be reviewed by the grant committee following that date. We are targeting to notify grantees and cut checks the week of May 11, 2020. During this first round, a total of $300,000 will be awarded. If an applicant is eligible but does not receive funding in the first round, their application will be held and included in the second and third round of funding ($225,000 each round). Another application does NOT need to be submitted.
