Is there still help available for small businesses?!

Is there still help available for small businesses?!

Last night the Downtown Camden Program, Kershaw County Chamber and Kershaw County Library partnered to offer a webinar with tips and resources for local businesses (link to recorded version will be provided soon). It was a great conversation and I learned about some new resources too! Therefore, I have added some new links to resources on our Coronavirus Information for Business webpage. Check it out!

Knowing that some businesses are still struggling or may be struggling now that they've exhausted their other resources, we spent some time talking about the Paycheck Protection Program loan and other financial support opportunities. I did some research to find out what banks may still be offering Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any local banks, but I did find THIS article. You can also find the listing of banks that were approved to offer these loans HERE (scroll down to SC); however, keep in mind that they may no longer be offering these loans.

In addition, the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC) is going to open up another round of grant\ funding for small businesses on Saturday, July 27; click HERE to view the details and sign up to receive an email reminder when applications are available. You should also check out the grant programs from Business for ALL/Hello Alice. These last two grants are increasingly competitive because they are looking at applications from around the nation. However, this shouldn't discourage you from applying.

If your business needs help or guidance, don't hesitate to reach out to one or more of the following local organizations for assistance:
