Description

Auditions will be held for the Camden Community Theater's winter musical production of Jesus Christ Superstar. The production will be directed by Jami Steele, Director of Education& Theater for the FAC. Multiple roles for both men and women ages 17 and up. Main characters include Jesus, Pontius Pilate, Caiaphas, Apostle Peter, Herod, Simon Zealotes, Annas, Mary Magdalene, and Judas Iscariot. PRODUCTION DATES: JANUARY 29-FEBRUARY 1, 2015 ABOUT THE PLAY Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical started as a rock opera concept recording before its first staging on Broadway in 1971.
