Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site will host Battle of Camden Remembrance Day on Saturday, August 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Talented members of the Philip Simmons Artists-Blacksmith Guild of SC will demonstrate traditional blacksmithing at the forge from 9:30 a.m.?2:00 p.m. At 10:30 am Kids ages 6-12 will enjoy Family Fun Hour to include a scavenger hunt, play colonial games and hear the story of the valiant Baron de Kalb, who gave his life for Liberty. Free guided tours of the Kershaw House from 2:00-4:00 p.m., light refreshments and viewings of a ½ hour documentary on the Battle of Camden will round out the commemoration of the 234th anniversary of this important Revolutionary War battle.
