About

Historic Camden is a private 501(c)3 Colonial and Revolutionary War museum and 107-acre park. We offer self-guided and guided tours, special programs and events, rental opportunities, a jogging track, and a nature trail. Featured is the reconstructed Kershaw-Cornwallis House and Gardens, where the town's founding father Joseph Kershaw called home, and the British headquarters during the occupation of Camden from 1780-81. There are other historic structures such as McCaa's Tavern, the Craven House, and local log cabins from the early 19th century. Our mission is to protect, preserve, and celebrate Camden's extraordinary Colonial and Revolutionary War history.
